The missing ingredient

1 Ti m  1:3 -7  As I urged you when I left for Macedonia, I ’m asking that you remain in Ephesus to instruct them not to teach or follow the error of deceptive doctrines,  nor pay any attention to cultural myths, traditions, or the endless study of genealogies. Those digressions only breed controversies and debates. They are devoid of power that builds up and strengthens the church in the faith of God.   For we reach the goal of fulfilling all the commandments when we love others deeply with a pure heart, a clean conscience, and sincere faith. Some believers have been led astray by teachings and speculations that emphasize nothing more than the empty words of men. They presume to be expert teachers of the law, but they don ’t have the slightest idea of what they’re talking about and they simply love to argue! - TPT   1Tim 1;5-6 N ow the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of  a good conscience, and of  faith unfeigned:...

The Image of God and the Light

Recently a friend of mine, a Reverend very passionate about God sent me an audio message of one of his morning devotions. I listened to it and I was blessed by his version on the importance of Light in the life of a believer. He said that Light brings out the true Image of an individual and it enables the image of God in us to be seen. I learned allot from that statement and I felt I could share it here. There was a statement I used to like making, that is "when light shines in a dark place, the things in the dark are exposed and that is when cockroaches and rats run away into hiding." What does this tell us. The bible says in John 3:19 And this is the condemnation , that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because the ir deeds were evil . What this says is that many will prefer darkness because of many reasons, one of them being the fact that they do not want their image to be revealed. They stay in darkness because they are asham...

GRUMBLE VS GRATITUDE

I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine regarding the half empty- half full glass scenario. One would realize that the individual most likely to complain and fall into pessimism, would be the one who sees it as half empty. Why you would ask? Because his focus is on what is missing rather than that which exists. On the other hand, the one who sees it as half full, has an acknowledgement of something present in the glass. This is a simple but basic foundation of viewpoints that either catapult an individual into gratitude or complaining. Notice that Jesus gave thanks before the miracle of multiplying bread. John 6:11-12 Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted. After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, "Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted." And before raising Lazarus from the dead John 11:41-44 So they ...

God uses foolish things to shame the wise

1 corr 1:25 For what seems to be God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom , and what seems to be God's weakness is stronger than human strength. Who are the wise men in this world?  Wise men in this world are those who have understood how life operates in many angles, by experience, by reading and listening to the wise men before, by studying so many books laws principles of this world. They have answers to almost everything, when one approaches them they usually have solutions to the most difficult situation. Most times when you meet them, some look confused because they have discovered something that you do not know, usually what they speak doesn't make sense but when you apply it you understand why they did so or told you to do so.  Same applies to things of God. There are so many things God does or uses that look very foolish to man. This is because they do not make sense to a normal human being or a carnal man or a wise man in this case who is well educated. I wi...

The most popular subconscious race

Everyday is like a movie, when I sit down watch people and talk to them I realize one thing, most people are not satisfied with what they are. All this is because almost no one advertises the beauty of nature. With the increasing innovation of substances for business and marketing so that people make money, everything is done to make people buy their products, so this causes the advertisers to make an illusion of beauty by discrediting the natural beauty. When many people go online onto the media platforms, they find only particular photos being spread and those are photos after applying make up from a given company and also displaying it's name to make it look like one cannot be beautiful if they don't use that product. People run away daily from who they are it is why they spend hours in the mirror not to look like themselves and spend allot of money in saloons to look like some celebrity. The truth is that none of these things is real, many times people go to ...

Who Dictates your happiness?

Well as much as many people are in search for freedom, the actual desire is change of dictator. The world is full of so many deities that someone has to belong to one of them. There is no one who is actually free, every deity advertises itself and has a team out there spreading their gospels to seduce men into their deities. Every kingdom has its own definition of freedom and captivity, Satan mentioned about the gods knowing good and evil so basing on the knowledge of good and evil, every god has a so called good side and a bad side, they always have a face that looks good and that which we know as bad. Every deity presents itself as good and beneficial, most of them do not mention the bad side. Anyone who joins a cult gets to know of the bad side when it is to late. So is the same with life, people enjoy themselves in sin in the name of liberty or freedom but in the end the untold consequences of their recklessness begin to manifest, then in their old age they begin to r...

Dead sea syndrome

I once stumbled on an article that described why the dead sea in the middle east is salty and void of life. I was amazed to find out that it’s because it receives a lot of water from the Euphrates river but will never give away what it receives. This sadly is a picture of a child of God who constantly wants to receive a lot but will never take the extra step of sharing or giving what he has received. I was amazed when I glanced upon a scripture revealing that every time we do good and share, God receives it as a well pleasing sacrifice. Heb 13:16  But go on doing good and giving to others, because God is well-pleased with such offerings.   Often times we condemn ourselves or believe the lie that we are not good enough to be a blessing. However, I am reminded of the power of Jesus’ cleansing blood that washes away sin that is confessed (1John1:9) and Paul’s revelation in Romans, Rom 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who wa...
